Hi,
Winhttp5.dll is installed by the NSM 6 installation.
Check out if you have the file in the NSM 6 installation folder. If not, you have a corrupt installation and need to reinstall. In case this is the only problem you are encountering, you can also install the application on another computer and copy the missing file to your current installation.
Cheers,

Well, I reinstalled the OS and put 2000 server on it...It is monitoring the sites ok, however the output to the GFI web server or IIS is not updating...I'm not thrilled

Hi, Can anyone please send some debug information on this issue? We are not managing to reproduce the problem and from what I see, there are several posts on this issue.
To enable debug , go to the registry HKLM\Software\GFI\NSM6\Config and change values Debug and DebugLevel to 1.
Stop all modules, and reproduce the situation, then send me the files in the DebugLog folder.
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Thank you Stein for the help provided. We managed to ge the error code from the logs you have sent.
We managed to reproduce the situation when a file which was supposed to be overwritten dynamically by the engine, was read only.
Does any of you have any anti virus software scanning the home folder of the gfi? We are trying to find the cause which lead to the file being in use.
Thanks and regards,

Calin-
I uninstalled virus scanner, exported rules, uninstalled GFI6.0, reinstalled 6.0, left off Virus Scanner, re-imported rules, same thing...looks like virus scanner had nothing to do with it. I replaced the XP OS, with Server 2000 seemed to take care of everything. That may help others, AV had nothing to do with it IMO.

ok, thank you Wolfy for the information.
I think this issue has to do with file protection system in XP. That is why on 2000 it is not reproduced. This issue will be fixed for sure in the next build.
The valuable information you all provided brought us closer to fixing this issue. So I thank you all once again for your help and cooperation.
Best Regards, Calin

Hi,
Unfortunatelly we can not reproduce the issue. We have a possible fix but we can not verify the fix since we could not reproduce in the first place. If any of you is willing to help verify the fix prior to the release, please contact me.
Thanks and regards, Calin

Hi Wolfy,

I too have had the same problem and I am running server 2003! I have however fixed the issue, I simply copied a version from the unpacked software into the installation location, therefore overwriting the previous version. This fix is terrible, but this works for now...
