I cannot start the installation of GFI MailArchiver. The files are being extracted but then I get a generic windows installer message showing all msiexec command line parameters. It looks like msiexec has been given the wrong parameters. After that nothing happens. I already reinstalled the .NET framework, Windows Installer and WSH but that does not help. Anyone any idea because this has been annoying me seriously for the last days. I'm performing the installation on a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP2. The machine is a HP NAS2000s. Thanks in advance, Bernard.

Do you have any Anti Virus software running while you are trying to go ahead with the installation? If yes, can you please disable this Software from running during the installation. Thank you!

There is currently no antivirus running on that machine.

This issue was solved by installing GFI MailArchiver on another machine. Thank you!

Can anyone post the resolution to this? I am having the same issue... *edit* I can't install GFI on a different server, it has to be installed on the server that is generating the error. Thanks..

LOB1, Can you check your environmental variables and make sure the account you are using has full control over these folders? Also go to start > run > %temp% and check this folder as well.

Hi LOB1, To workaround this issue, do the following: 1. Right click My Computer > Properties > Advanced Tab 2. Click Environment Variables and change the value of the TEMP user variable to be C:\Temp 3. Do the same for the TMP user variable 4. Press OK, close any open dialogs and run the GFI MailArchiver installation again. 5. Once GFI MailArchiver is installed you can set these locations back to the default. Please let us know how it works out for you.
