I am running the freeware version of MailEssentials and MailSecurity on my Exchange Server. When I attempt to remove a keyword from the list of Content Checking conditions in MailSecurity, I get a dialog stating the following:

"It is not possible to add any more words, phrases or conditions to the list, since the internal record limit has been reached."

When I attempt to remove a condition, it appears to complete successfully, but when I open the Content Rule Checking Properties again, all conditions I remove show up again.

I have had MailEssentials installed and running for quite a while, now. I recently (9/30/03) installed MailSecurity and was able to remove and add conditions without a problem.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks,
Ray

please search the posts. A work around for this problem has been posted many times. I also believe you can get a patch from GFI for this issue if you email them at support@gfi.com

I did search the posts before I posted. I searched on several different parts of the error message and got nothing.

Are you referring to this post? http://forums.languard.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=000019

I saw that one before I posted, but it didn't have the error message in it, nor did you put a reference to the message you posted about it "some time back." Could you please provide a link to the message to which you referred? Have you applied the patch to which the person who replied to your post referred? If so, how should I refer to the patch when requesting it from GFI? Does it have a name or an ID number of some sort?

Telling someone, effectively, to "go fish" is not helpful when the content source does not contain information (like error messages) useful for searching. I searched through GFI's knowledge base, on the Web, as well as in this forum before I posted my question. If I get a workable solution, I will post that solution in detail so others may find it based on the symptoms (like the actual error message).

Thanks,
Ray

Ray,

Yes, you can send an e-mail to support@gfi.com with reference to your issue. Please include also a set of troubleshotoer files.

Had the same problem and GFI support advised me there was a new build that would fix this problem.
