It's me again. Now i have extend the configuration to 13 IP's with 30 checks (with a Scan Frequency of 2 Minutes and a error Threshold of 3 errors). Now i'm getting after every 2 running Hour a Failure for all http/s checks: Unable to create a new internet session (probably your proxy settings are not correct). I think daemon checks, POP, SMTP, CPU, Harddisk checks works fine. It is a Windows 2003 WebEdition Server. Is there a connection limit set or what can i do? Or did i check to much? In the logfiles i found the fellow information: Could not obtain a thread in which to perform the check, all threads for this check might be busy. Processing check - 'system1 - HTTP Server - Port' Could not obtain a thread in which to perform the check, all threads for this check might be busy. Processing check - 'system2 - MySQL Database - Port' Could not obtain a thread in which to perform the check, all threads for this check might be busy! Processing check - 'system3 - HTTP Server - Port' Could not obtain a thread in which to perform the check, all threads for this check might be busy! Processing check - 'FTP - sr33.firestorm.ch'" Queueing node [44] in dispatcher unit queue" Queueing node [49] in dispatcher unit queue" Queueing node [93] in dispatcher unit queue" Queueing node [95] in dispatcher unit queue" Queueing node [96] in dispatcher unit queue" Queueing node [98] in dispatcher unit queue"

Hi, It appears that GFI Network Server Monitor is running out of HTTP Threads in order to perform the HTTP Checks. Can you please clarify the following information: a) How many HTTP Checks have you configured in GFI Network Server Monitor? b) 3rd party anti-virus and backup software can make Network Server Monitor mal-function since they may deny Network Server Monitor access to files. Can you please disable this kind of software from scanning the Network Server Monitor directory and the <:\Program Files\Common Files\GFI>? Thank you for your co operation!

a) i have ~40 HTTP checks activated. b) there is no Antivirus or backup software installed c) After 3 Restarts NSM works fine. Now, i can restart the service, and the message is going away.

I think the error is an result of the SP2 Safety Feature max. 10 Connections per second.... i've patched the tcpip.sys to 1000 Connections and anything is allright. I used this Tool: http://www.lvllord.de/?lang=en&url=downloads
