Hi
I've been testing EndPoint Security 4 for use with hardware encrypted usb drives. I have it setup to block storage devices but allow other USB devices like mice, keyboard, etc. I have whitelisted the encrypted usb drives and the client seems to allow them but the software that runs to prompt for a password will always time out so i am not able to access the drives. I have tested with 2 different brand name usb drives and they both act the same. Without the EPS client installed on the laptop the software and drive work just fine.
Have you done any testing with encrypted drives?

thanks,
Scot100

Hello Scot100,

When you add the USB device (without the agent installed) please open 'My computer'. Does your device add a CD device (or other device type) to load your encryption software from? If so, you might need to whitelist this device as well.

Hello Leo,
It does load a CD drive to run the software from but I've tried 2 things,
1. Whitelisting the cd drive, no luck
2. Turning off control of CD\DVD devices to allow all, still no luck

The current config is controlling/blocking storage devices only and whitelisting the Kingston Datatraveler.
