I am hoping someone has an answer to this.. We have been using GFI Mail Essentials for all our customers for a long time, and with the latest updates the filter is working better than ever... Our problem is Outlook, and its own Safe Sender List, and its Junk Email options. I know how to disable the Junk Email filter that is built-in to Outlook, but the Safe Senders list is still enabled.. My problem is that some of the customers we have are not the brightest, and even though we have told them NOT to use the SafeSenders list, or the "this is junk" button in outlook, they still do, and then on top of that they complain. Is there any possible way to disable the safe sender list in outlook, because it moves messages back out from junk email to the inbox folder.... and it makes it seem that GFI is not working... but GFI is working. I dont care if i have to hack dlls, edit registry entries, or whatever it takes... thank you all for your time.. pv

pv2k, I wanted to hop in here and let you know that I can not find a way to disable this in Outlook 2003/2007. I'm not sure if anyone else may have further insight into this but from my searches and knowledge I'm coming up empty.

One of the nice things about MS is that they are control freaks and there is almost always a way to disable things (though many techniques are undocumented). This one is, however: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179183.aspx Loren

Loren, this is exactly what i need (if it works!). If the group policy will allow me to lock down the safe sender list (as it claims it does), this will solve my issues once and for all. now that i know what i am looking for, i will check to see if they have a ADM file (policy) for outlook 2003 as well... again thank you very much!! pv
