After I installed the 20070410 build I started getting corrupted emails. The HTML email is fine on the sender's system, but in Outlook client we see, in plain text: This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --_004_A83AA556B6AFCF46A903517957EF9B0F0833D33868NAEXMSGC117re_ Content-Type: multipart/alternative;boundary="_000_A83AA556B6AFCF46A903517957EF9B0F0833D3386 8NAEXMSGC117re_" --_000_A83AA556B6AFCF46A903517957EF9B0F0833D33868NAEXMSGC117re_ Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-EC0D2A8E-5CB7-4969-9C36-46D859D137BE-PartID: 2CA3F6A6-5ED0-4031-BB9F- C4CB7909B758 Followed by bits an pieces of the email, but hard to read. It does not happen to all inbound email, but some, especially if there is some kind of inline graphic.

I've turned OFF HTML Sanitizer and the problem appears to have gone away. You've got a BUG GFI! Scenario: User creates HTML Email with inline graphic with Outlook 2003 -> Exchange 2003 -> Internet -> GFI Mail Security -> Exchange 2007 -> Outlook 2003 or 2007 -> Email Corruption Doesn't happen in all, but some.

Just curious if there was any update to this. I seem to be having the same problem. It only happens to my POP3 users. The only way they are allowed to download mail is if i go into their account via Exchange\Outlook or OWA and delete the corrupted mails from their mailbox. I have about 30 users total and 10 of them are using POP3, this happens about once every week or two. Thanks, Chuck

Not that I am aware of. The HTML Sanitizer bug (whatever it is) was quite sporadic, but repeatedable for some specific inbound emailers. I think it has something to do with people having an embedded graphic in their email such as in an autosignature. As soon as I turned off this HTML Sanitizer, the problem went away. It seems to have started happening right after the update in the April time span. I really couldn't help GFI in regards to this as the last thing I wanted to do is ask the same customer who got quite irritated with this problem to repeat the bug while I had GFI's debug mode on. But at least the solution is easy - turn off HTML Sanitizer and it goes away.

Patrizia or whoever is monitoring this thread from GFI, I can reproduce this problem. We had users reporting that the CC addresses of inbound HTML formatted emails were corrupted (embedded cr/lf, embedded space). I was able to successfully reproduce the problem and when I turned off the HTML Sanitizer the problem disappeared. We're running Ver 10.0 - build 20070410. Let me know if and what you need from me. TIA, Phil
