As a Domain Admin, I log into the GFI web interface to perform a search against a user's email. If I go in the wrong order in selecting options (see below), the search delays indefinitely. Is there a way to remove all the "pretty" AJAX functions and just have a quick and easy "search for xxx in yyy's email"? It seems that selecting something that forces a backend load of more information is killing my searches. Example A (stalled, been watching for 30 min w/out completion): Conversations->Search Uncheck "Search through my emails only" Click "Advanced Options" Select the Archives to search through Type in the user whose emails we're looking through--this box does not populate quickly with 15,000 users (would be nice for a simple text box option instead of drop-down that looks like its running extra queries in the background) Change drop-down Search condition to "Sender" (this kicks off a process of some sort, which I think is what's killing my search) Type in the text string to match. Click "Search" (runs indefinitely) Example B (runs in about 1-2 minutes--this is acceptable considering the size of the DB): Conversations->Search Uncheck "Search through my emails only" Click "Advanced Options" De-select all of the archives to search Set up user and select search condition (kicks off a process, but finishes quickly without archives selected) Re-select all of the archives to search Type in the text string to match Click "Search" (finishes fairly quickly) I'm not asking for much, but in this case, the "extra functionality" granted by the dynamic pages is causing the exact opposite. If anyone has created their own replacement pages that remove all of the background data-loading and just run a simple form, it would be much appreciated.
