Hi There, Just running GFI LAN guard N.S.S 8.0. Everything is running fine except that i'm trying to run a scheduled scan to run daily. When i check the LNSS status monitor it says the scan has completed. I have told the scan to save the results in the default report folder but i am not receiving any data. I have tried a single ip address to scan and also used domain admin credentials to perform the scan Any ideas, it seemed straight forward to set up but doesn't appear to work...

Hi Quad, Any luck w/ your LANguard NSS scheduled scan? I'm also running into the same or similar problem. No matter what I tried, the scheduled scan produced no output but the scheduled scan task did flash momentiarily as if the scan was done but no results. TIA

Never mind. I was able to get it to work now after reconfigure the properties & have the results dumped to the program files\gfi\lan guard ...\data\reports folder.

Try checking the Start -> Programs -> GFI Languard Network Security Scanner -> LNSS Activity Monitor for more details. There is an active scheduled scans tab that should help.

Hi Quad, check if the name of your scan contains any special characters like <>?|*?, etc. When NSS does a scheduled scan, it will create a file named "<name of scan>_date.xml" and if the <name of scan> contains such a character, Windows will not allow the creation of such a file.
