Does anyone know if it is possible to run GFI MailEssentials 12 on an existing mailbox to go through messages that are already in the mailbox?

We have some accounts that have a ton of possible spam during the installation process of ME when we were having a problem of getting it to work. Now it seems to be running.

Does anyone know if you can just have it run through the inbox and move out any mail that is spam?

Since ME works by scanning messages as they pass through the SMTP Event Sink, I think you'd have to pass the messages back through it. There are several ways you could do this. Or, you could think about using a desktop scanner (like Cloudmark), even in beta, just for the initial pass.

MailEssentials is unable to filter out SPAM emails from Mailboxes since it requires an email to Pass though the SMTP Sinks to be processed.

I have added this a feature request!
