Are there any plans to improve the reporting features? Other products include graphs to show the historical status of the monitored devices. It would be nice to be able to see a graph of a device of the type MRTG or RRD produces at least.

It would help greatly since many of my managers get glossy eyed when I bring them a page filled with text. They seem to be able to understand pretty pictures a whole lot better.

Thank you,

Jamie Jensen

Currently, it is not possible to be able to generate graphs from the reports directly from Network Server Monitor.

Currently, you will have to save the reports in csv format and generate the graphs manually using Excel.

This feature will be considered when planning the next verison.

We need this too. A realtime graph would be cool. A more automated way of doing reports (say sunday at 12midnight). Get me 1 week, 1 month, and 1 year uptime percentage per either server (or folder) or by monitor object.

Even if we could export the information or query the info and put it in RRD ourselves.

Thanks,

New customer of SELM (25 servers) and NSM (unlm) (and maybe MailSecurity (unlm) and MailEssentials (unlm) soon).

Alex,

the information is already available, however, Network Server Monitor does not have an interface to be able to display the information that you are requesting.

All the files in the DB directory will are used by the Reporter. These files will show when a rule has changed state, indicatating when a rule has failed, and when it has started working again.

However, the use of these files is also undocumented, but maybe you may want to check them out.
