Upgraded EventsManager 7.1 to 8.0 this morning; upgrade went off without issue. Tried to upgrade ReportPack to 8 and I receive the following message: "GFI EventsManager 8 database backend specified seems to have a different structure than needed by this build version." Is there an explicit action I need to take to "upgrade" the database to v8? EventsManager v8 seems to be running fine.

Would you please try the following test within GFI EventsManager: Configuration -> Options -> Database Backend -> Change Database Back End. Add a space to the database name, remove the space, and then click Apply. This will ensure the database connectivity is valid, and any necessary updates are applied. Once done, please try the report pack again.

Drew, Thanks for your quick response. That procedure worked and allowed me to insall ReportPack 8. Is there a way to get my custom and scheduled reports into RP8? They did not migrate automatically.

I've opened RP7, exported the settings, and then imported them in RP8. The import details indicate everything was successful, but closing and re-opening RP8 does not load my custom and scheduled reports. Restarting the Reporting Service did not help.

I believe these settings may already be lost. Typically, they are stored in the 'toolcfg_scheduler.xml' file in the 'C:\Program files\Common Files\GFI\ReportCenter\Framework v3.5\Data' folder You can reference the link below for more information: http://kbase.gfi.com/showarticle.asp?id=KBID002988

Good morning Drew, I opened the toolcfg_scheduler.xml and found my scheduled report listed in the file; interestingly, it is listed 4 times. All 4 (identical) copies ran this morning at the scheduled time. However, opening the RP8 console shows nothing listed in scheduled or custom reports. Thanks.

Good morning Drew, On further examination, this seems to be a bit of a mess. I have both the RP7 and RP8 available as options in the ReportCenter framework. All of my custom and scheduled reports are listed 4 times under the RP7 product, which I now understand was a result of my "import". I believed the import would transition the reports from RP7 to RP8, but this is not the case. Thanks.
