Status: offline 		I'm relatively new to Faxmaker so please bear with me. Our organization currently has both FaxMaker 10 and 12 installed on various servers. Recently we've been having issues with faxing to local numbers. Users use Outlook 2k3 to send fax broadcasts to multiple clients throughout the city. It turns out that all our client fax numbers are in this format: 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx. Local faxes will not send with the 1 in front of it but we seem to have better luck when we remove the 1. Is there a way to tell faxmaker to remove the 1 when sending to a local number? We would change the contact numbers but there are over 2000 of them. This problem only started happening recently when our province started moving towards a 10 digit dialing system.  It was working fine before that, even with the 1 included.

Yes, Please open your GFI Faxmaker Configuration and expand down Advanced and go to Dialing properties.  In here you can edit the rules for either dialing a one or not.  Just as a suggestion I usually have to say this aloud as I configure it to make sure I get it right.  When you believe you have the proper setting please click ok and restart your GFI Faxmaker services.  Then send a test while watching the monitor.  In the Queued faxes portion of the monitor you will see what is being sent to the product to dial, but you need to watch the Fax Server portion of the monitor to see exactly what Faxmaker is Dialing.  This is where you might either see the 1 or see two 1's being dialed or none at all.  Please let me know how this goes.  Thank you.

Status: offline 		I've tried all different combinations in the Dialing settings but no luck.  Country code is 1 and area code is 780.
Any idea what exact settings I should be changing? All local contacts are in the format 1-780-xxx-xxxx. There is no plus sign in front of the 1 so I don't think the International dialing rule will work. All I need is to be able to strip off the 1 and leave the 780 when dialing locally. I've also been restarting the GFI services after each change.
