Greetings:
Right now, I am in eval version.
I am trying to remotely monitor several machines at my workplace. I know that my local ISP is blocking port 135 at this time. Could that be stopping the Network Server monitor from reaching the destination boxes? I have tested internally and through a DMZ connection with success. I am running a Checkpoint firewall with a tunnel wide open from my house "static ip" to the internal box "Nated". The logs show nothing. Any ideas?

What type of monitoring rules are you trying to configure?

You should not encounter problems with Internet Protocols rules (e.g. checking that an FTP or HTTP server is running)

However, other checks like the Windows rules, will be very difficult to configure if the scanning and the scanned machines are not on the same LAN.

I am trying to monitor various services such as IIS and DNS. I would like the ability to be notified if they have a problem. Pinging or checking to see if a website is there does not give me enough info. I am able to monitor those services through another test domain that I have installed on a DMZ just outside our firewall. I have taken the same Test machine from that DMZ and set it up at my house, and it does not work.
The only thing that is different would be the WAN connection. That is why I was thinking that maybe it was a RPC problem. I did a test where I set up a VPN and it all connected fine.
Thanks,

Checking if a services is running would require more permissions.

To be able to check if the problem is coming from Network Server monitor or if it is a connection problem, you should try to connect to the services of the monitored machine using the windows services. Right click on "Services (Local)" in the left pane, and select "Connect to another computer"
