Just as of late, i've received complaints from some users that they've not been receiving their emails that were approved using the Remote Moderator.  I tested it and sure enough, quarrantined emails coming in to our system from an outside email address, although we approve them, they do not reach the exchnge server email recipient.  What could be causing this problem?  I know Remote Moderator flashes a fast message after approving or deleting emails from the queue but I can't read what it says... any help?

Crownit,

What is the size of the following file within your MailSecurity Directory?

\GFI\MailSecurity\Quarintine\qmc.mdb

If you select to approve an email by using the Notification sent to the administrator, does the email get released?

Thank you

The size of the quarrantine database file used to be over 1 GB in size.  About a week ago (before starting this thread) I did a repair/compact of that file and now it's around 3 MB in size.

We never use the feature to notify administrator on approval of mails, but this problem seems irratic - just enough to make remote moderator not reliable.  I find myself using the normal GFI Moderator Client when I feel I can't trust remote moderator with important emails.

Is there anything that needs to be done to the quarrantine folder once the database file is compacted?  Did I miss a step when doing that?

Did this problem occur before performing the compact and repair procedure?

Did you keep a copy of your qmc.mdb before performing the compact and repair procedure?

I have sent you a clean copy of the qmc.mdb to the email address which you have registered the forums with.

Thank you
