I am trying to use mailarchiver with my exchange 2007. I create a default archive store, activate one of my email to enable journalling. My email have about 6000mails dated till 2003 after i enable mailarchiver on this email, all the mails in this email inbox were gone. login mailarchiver and found only 39mails. Where can I find all my mails? most of my mailboxes have mails dated till 2000 I am thinking of archiving mails according to year and leave all 2007 and 2008 mails in the exchange mailbox. must i download all my 2006 and before mails to pst and do a import?

Hello vincentchua, You should configure a generic journalling mailbox and not configure your own mailbox since MailArchiver will download all emails from this mailbox. If you have set up MailArchiver properly, you should be able to find the emails within the database you have configured. You can use the MailArchiver Bulk Export tool to restore these emails back. Further information can be found within this link : http://support.gfi.com/manuals/en/mar5/mar5manual.1.62.html To configure a journalling mailbox within Exchange 2007, please check this link : http://support.gfi.com/manuals/en/mar5/mar5manual.1.11.html Regards

I did what you have taught me; You can use the MailArchiver Bulk Export tool to restore these emails back. Further information can be found within this link : http://support.gfi.com/manuals/en/mar5/mar5manual.1.62.html The tool found all 43 mails which are in MA. Then I do a restore to support mailbox as original mail. 100%. Then when I login my support mailbox, inbox still show 0. Why?

Hello vincentchua, Did you stop polling your own mailbox from MailArchiver? It is important to remove the entry to poll your own mailbox from MailArchiver User Interface-> Mail Servers to Archive. Ensure also that you do not have anything else configured (such as Outlook) that could be downloading emails via POP3 from your own mailbox. Regards
