Is anyone else experiencing performance issues with the new 20080614 build? Since installing yesterday, we see excessive queuing on the SMTP gateway server running ME/MS. The server simply can't keep up with the inbound mail as it always had. I removed 20080614 and returned to 20080404 and the server is keeping up just fine as usual.
Any thoughts?
Server specs:
Windows 2003 Server SP2 - IIS SMTP
ME 12 - 20080508
MS 10 - 20080614 / 20080404
Quad Xeon 2.33
2GB RAM

Hi Jeff
One thought that comes to mind is debug logging. Can you check if debug mode was enabled when MSEC build 20080614 was installed?

Hi Jeff
Further to the above, we ran some tests on the same setup that you described above but we did not notice any performance deterioration.
Can I suggest you contact Technical Support about the matter so that we can look into the problem in more detail?

I tend to disable the debug logging unless I need it to save resources, so that didn't seem to play into the issue. I think it was a coincidence that we were getting slammed with the latest round of intense spam around the time I did the upgrade. Things have slowed down to normal pace again, and the latest versions of ME/MS are performing well as expected.
