Is there a way to customise the date range that the outlook conector/snyc'r displays dates.  Currently it is set at one year.  Can that be changed to display possilby 2 years.. or can it be an option upon install.  Beleive it or not.. My company needs might want longer than than 18 months visible if I am going to use automatic policies to remove emails as of certain dates...

I kno wit is all searchable.. but we religeously use folder structures, and to have to search for an email we will need.. it would be better if it was right there in the connector...

This is currently not able to be change at the moment but it may be a configurable feature in the future.

If it could be an option, that would be great.  So if it needs to be an official "reqeust" for a feature.. I guess.. I request.. haha..

Thanks

Hello,

The purpose of GFI MailArchiver is to archive messages.  Folders and messages in the GFI MailArchiver mailbox are always read-only for law compliancy issues.

Thanks and kind regards,

I anderstand that, I was not talking about modifying any archived message, but just their containers (folders)...

Perhaps then.. as I understand it, you can change the category of an email..
Why not make a mapping system between the "folders" and the "categories".. that way, they can be modified without maintaining a true "folder" and "category".. just create the view on category.. even allowing multi categories would be awesome..

Such a tool could be built into the PST importer as well.. that way, every email is categorised by the folder it was origianlly in when imported...

I'm totally on board with the no-delete thing.. I am defending it as I type this from people wanting to have personal email (from wives, freinds etc) not in the archive.. but my only answer is.. get a webmail account..

Yup, we are too.

If we had known it would only hold one year in the connector, we wouldn't  have bothered upgrading.

Is there a registry key somewhere that can be changed to allow more than one year via the Outlook Connector?

We need this function too :-(

Do you know when we'll get configurable features ? And if we gotta wait for a while, as Encams said, what could we do to modify the date range anyway ?

Since we can use the web interface to search back through emails older than 1 year I am not to concerend about this.

We have created a link to the Archiver site in our public folders for easy staff access.

However does anyone know of a way to make the connector go back through the emails for the past year and place then into the appropriate subfolders.  It's working great on all new email but I'd love to roll this out to the staff using the current locations for any emails not yet deleted.
