After much messing around we have discovered that disabling the Email protection in our own and a customer who is also using the connector, resolves the "Downloading Messages" dialog that steals focus. We are running ESET NOD32 v4 in house as is the customer. It also happens with v3 of NOD32 Has anyone else having this problem with the connector tried the same and been able to resolve the issue? If so what AV and version have you tried it with?

I'm getting the "downloading messages" box for the same emails quite a few times each day. I'm trialing it on my machine before rolling it out to all the users and I know they'll moan about the messagebox. I'm using NOD32 V4 too and don't really want to have to disable the email protection so has anyone come up with another solution to stop this ?

Our solution in the end was to disable email scanning for the installation of the connector and leave it disabled the first hour or so after. It seems once the initial syncing of the users archiver inbox has completed, the message will no longer appear during normal operation, it is just the bulk of emails initially that are the problem.

Thanks, I can tolerate doing that. Just didn't want to have to leave it off permanently :)

I disabled the email protection in NOD32 and the problem went away, I've re-enabled it a couple of days later and it's still doing it. I'm assuming NOD is scanning the archiver file on the local maching. I'm going to try adding an exception to my AV scan folders but I'm not sure where the GFI file is stored on the pc
