I have no idea what the problem is here. One of our fax numbers that goes to an exchange distribution list stopped working. We have like 100 other fax numbers, and they all work to my knowledge. When you dial the number is simply doesn't pickup and make the fax noises. It just keeps ringing. All other numbers work fine. Nothing has changed to my knowledge. We have 4 brooktrout modems. Our phone system is Avaya, and everything looks fine there. Any ideas on where to start narrowing this problem down?

I would start by unplugging the lines from the boards and attempt to dial into that number - see if that rings through. Is this an analog or digital environment that you are working with? If the lines coming to the Brooktrout card are analog, you should be able to plug in an analog phone and dial into it. If you can dial into the number successfully, you may want to attempt the test in the diagnostic utility for the board. I would verify that you are on the latest build of FAXmaker and have updated Brooktrout drivers to get the most up to date diagnostic utility.
