Before I start down this road, I was wondering if GFI Faxmaker could alert when faxes start to backup.

Here is the scenario:
If pending faxes > 10 send email message.

With my Network Monitor Software I can check to see if the <drive>:\Program Files\GFI\FaxMaker\out\pending folder has more than xx files present and trigger an alert, but this folder does not accurately reflect how many faxes are pending (since attachments and converted images are in here as well).

When I look at the Queued Faxes view in GFI Faxmaker Monitor, I see the number of pending faxes (queued items) where is it gathering the information for these pending faxes? Is it pulling a file type (.sfm) from the <drive>:\Program Files\GFI\FaxMaker\out\pending folder?

If there a WMI Class or namespace that I can query to get the Fax count?

If you want to monitor how many faxes are present in queue at a given time, I would suggest making your query on the amount of .sfm files found within the ..Faxmaker\out\pending folder, as each fax is going to have an associated .sfm file for routing purposes. This should accurately reflect what you see in the GFI FAXmaker monitor. Please make sure you do nothing more than run that simple query, as accessing these files can affect fax flow.

Thanks for the info.

I wrote a vbscript that counts all the files in ...Faxmaker\out\pending with .scm in the name.

My monitoring software takes the count number and alerts me it it is greater than x.

It works great.
