Hi all
Ive done a brand new install of the latest mailarchiver and using my mailbox as a test. The h journal is setup, the permissions are correct for the sync user and the emails are pulled from the journal mailbox and archived. So i know that works fine..however the folder structure has not filtered through. I have around 10 folders with email in them and all i can see is the inbox and sent items in the archive. Email that had a rule to go to a specific folder were going to a the inbox of the archive. Ive looked on many thread on here about the folder structure not working and tried all the tips to no avail.
I have a text file called faliednew in the failed folder under umpolling with lots of numbers and in there.

Can anyone help with this frustrating situation on why i cant see my folders in the archive?
thanks

Hi,

There are some considerations to keep in mind:

MailArchiver will only show folders where an email archived in the MARC database is in. That means that if a folder in your mailbox has emails but NONE of them are stored in MailArchiver, then thefolder will not appear.

Another consideration is to keep in mind that the synchronization process will check all the emails in the Exchange mailbox and try to match them with the information in the MARC database. This is the reason why the failednew file is so large, as only new emails are being archived in the MARC store. The old emails are only in the Exchange Mailbox but not in the Archive Store.

However, according to your explanation you should be able to see the new emails synchronized in the correct folder. However please note that the process can take a while, as every single email of all the mailboxes need to be checked.

If you want to synchronize old emails of your mailbox that were present prior to the installation of MARC, first you will need to archive them using the procedure below:
http://support.gfi.com/manuals/en/mar6/mar6manual.1.17.html

After this, please follow the instructions in the link below to reset the synchronization:

Hope this helps.

Regards,
