Mail Security question about the SMTP stack - 4.May2009 11:24:28 AM

Hi,
I'm using Mail Security, version 10, build 20090409 on Windows Server 2003 SP2 with Exchange 2003 SP 2.

While running the Exchange best practices scan. I get two warnings:
"Default SMTP virtual server does not support X-LINK2STAT" and "XEXCH50 is not registered".

While following up on the Microsoft site, it says that both of these warnings can be attributed to a virus scanner using it's own SMTP stack.

Is this this case with MailSecurity? Does it implement it's own SMTP stack?

Has anyone else had this issue?

My mail is flowing alright though.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

GFI MailSecurity uses event sinks in the SMTP queue that is provided by Microsoft in order to operate.
