Mail Security and SMSMSE same server?

Status: offline 		Hello all. We currently have Exchange 2003 and have Mail Essentials and SMSMSE installed and working great. However, we were considering purchasing Mail Security but we would like to know if it would conflict with the antivirus portion of SMSMSE.

Any info would be great!

Status: offline 		I don't think they will. The symantec product is pretty much the same type of product (i.e. no filebased AV) and most times, two are better than one.

The only conflict that might exist is if their SMTP sink priority is the same. they MUST be different for them to co-exist happily.

Antoher point to consider is this: Waht if you release an email from one product. How do you make sure that the same email does not get caught by the other product? You down't want to double your workload...

spidermouse is correct in regards to the SMTP sink priority.  These must be different.  GFI MailSecurity 10 operates at priority 10 but I am not aware of Symantec's priority.
