Hi, i been tryting very hard to persuade my boss to renew the subscription which is expiring soon.
But i want to know what will happen after the subscription expires? Can it still block some spam base on the last successful update

Yes and no. I believe the phishing module disables itself. Others may do too - the Bayesian appears to stop automatically updating for example. Otherwise, yes, it does continue to work, but is likely to become less effective over time as spam methods change.
It's a small price to pay though. Today's prices show 1 year updates for 10 mailboxes at £31.50. That's £3 per mailbox. If you have 100 mailboxes, it drops to less than a third of the price.

With GFI MailEssentials 12 the spam scanning would continue for you. If you did have a Anti Phishing contract this module would expire as it is tied to the subscription. Updates would also stop being downloaded for the Bayesian Analysis module. Please keep in mind that we just released GFI MailEssentials 14 as well and if you do decide to renew your contract you would be able to upgrade to this new version as well as retain all updates and phishing module.
