I am having trouble getting Mail Archiver connecting to a database. Whether I use SQL or Access I get the following error
"Application encountered a non-fatal error: Cannot check database schema Additional info: The specified module could not be found"

Are you installing on a machine that is also a domain controller?

I had the same problem. I had to elevate the IUSR_MachineName acct to a higer security priveledge.... which will be a big no-no in a production environment

To <Josh>

Please enable debug mode http://kbase.gfi.com/showarticle.asp?id=KBID002198, then reproduce the issue and
use MailArchiver Troubleshooter and submit results to support@gfi.com

To gregfloyd

MailArchiver should run under default account without any privilege escalation.

However if you are using Access database outside of MailArchiver\DB folder you will need to grant full access to ASPNET or IWAM_ or NETWORK SERVICE (OS depending) account for this folder

In case of any other error messages please use MailArchiver Troubleshooter (see above)

I resolved the issue this morning. Digging through the registry on this server, I noticed that the default string for the location of the Common Files directory had been redirected to a network drive instead of C:\program files\common files. I reset this in the registry, uninstalled, and reinstalled and the database now works.

Thanks for your help!
