Hi,
GFI Mail Security v10 build 20090409.
It isn't blocking attachments anymore even though the rules are all enabled ...
most common image, video, audio & malicious.
The content filtering is the same. 3 rules enable but nothing gets quarantined.
Anybody know what I am missing ?

TIA

Su

Hi,

Are you able to see the emails in the realtime monitor? What action appears next to it?

Is any email at all being blocked by MailSecurity?

Also, please could you confirm where the application is installed? Is on the same machine as Exchange or a separate machine?

Regards,

Hi,
GFI is installed on the Exchange server yes.
The movie, malicious, trojan, cf,email exploit,  log files haven't been updated since may 1st.
The only 2 log files with recent dates are bitdefender and norman.
MailEssentials is working fine.

I just emailed myself an avi file from an external email account and watched using RTM.
It simply said processing new item, sender (me@home) recipient (me@work)  then "Item was processed OK"

Hi,

Please check that you are not above the user limit in the option "Licensing", as this could cause the behavior described. What is the status in this tab?

Also please check that all the domains are correctly configured in the option "Settings -> LocalDomains", as this could be also the cause.

If these two options are correct, I would advice you to check further by opening a support ticket. This can be done using the following form:
http://support.gfi.com/Support/supportrequest.aspx?lcode=en

Regards,
