ME12 stopped working as of this morning

Not sure why but all spam emails are not being blocked since early this morning.
We have not changed anyhting to the server or settings.
I have restarted the GFI services but nothing happened.
Any idea what should I be checking for?

If you've exceeded your licenced users, I believe this is what would happen.

No. we have 50 users licences and only 25 users on the system

From the monitor, I see that all spam are tagged with "item processing unsuccessful, item will not be modified"

Not sure if this helps anyone or not but any help is appreciated.

There should be a start_sinks.cmd (or similarly named) in the GFI folder; run this and see if the situation changes.

We restarted the server and things seem to be working fine for now.

When this happens to me, I"m usually able to get it working without having to do a full restart.  Here are the steps I take:

1. open command prompt and run, "net stop smtpsvc"
this stops the mail flow
2. open services in computer mngt and stop all the GFI services (I have 3 running)
3. go back to the command prompt and run, "net start smtpsvc"
4. start the GFI services again

Usually this will do it without requireing a full reboot.
