Hi

Is MA 6.1 Offline Access works similar to Outlook cache mode, i.e. It keeps a local copy and only downloads delta next time it synchronizes with MA server or does it download full copy every time.

Regards

Hi,

This new feature of the Outlook connector keep a local copy of the emails for certain amount of time. When configuring the Offline feature, you will be able to specify for example to syncronize the emails for the last 30 days.

Therefore, the next time the Outlook connector syncronize with the server, it will store locally the data for the past 30 days.

Hope this information helps.

Hi Roger
Thanks for your response.  I am still not sure whether it works in the simillar way as cache mode outlook.  Does it down load everything every time it synchronises with server or just the delta?

Another thing is you mentioned that it stores 30 days worth.  Is it a configurable i.e. can I set it to 90 days and what are the inplications?

Regards
Sukumar

Hi,

The amount of days are configurable from the Outlook connector properties. More information can be found in the manual:
http://www.gfi.com/mar/mar6ocmanual.pdf

When syncronizing, only new items and items which have changed since the last connection will be syncronized.

Hope this information helps.

Regards,

Hi
I have yet to upgrade but a question.
Does it download the full items or only the headers?

Cheers
