I'm using WebMonitor 2009 standalone proxy (not ISA).

Okay, so I have properly added my IP and also my (domain) user name to the Administrative Access Control list.

But NOWHERE can I find information about how to actually log in to the console from a workstation. I was assuming this would work roughly like MailArchiver, where I could go to our server via a URL like http://server.local/MailArchiver. But I can't find anywhere in the manual where it notes what the URL is. Everything works relatively well if I just use the GFI WebMonitor link from the start menu on the server itself, but we need administrative access from a workstation.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Dan

Try
http://monitor.isa
http://1.1.1.1
or
http://SERVERNAME:1007

When I do that, I get the following error. The workstation can "see the server" (in fact, it's the domain controller) for all other purposes.

GFI WebMonitor Error: The site "servername.domain.local" cannot be contacted

Explanation:
The IP of the web server cannot be found
Possible cause:
The webpage might:
•Have been removed.
•Have been re-named, so the address is no longer available.
•Be temporarily unavailable due to Internet congestion too many users trying to access the webpage.

Possible solutions:
•Click Refresh to re-launch the webpage.
•If you manually entered the address make sure that the spelling is correct.
•If you were linked to this page, try to enter the link manually.

If you are still encountering problems accessing the webpage, take note of the technical details and inform your administrator.
Technical details:

Description: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 192.168.47.2:1007

When you tried http://monitor.isa - Were you doing this from an Internet Explorer browser that was setup to use the proxy server?

First off, I'm not using the ISA version, I'm using the proxy version.

Second, I'm assuming it was set up correctly, as all of that station's activity was being properly logged by GFI.

The http://monitor.isa URL should still work in the standalone edition.
