Today, I noticed that some of my emails sent to the outside weren't reaching their target (IE: a few sent to msn.com made it, while other didnt).. We run Exchange 2007 with the antispam agents as well as GFIMailessentials for spam.. but this really shouldn't have anything to do with outgoing emails.. When i dont receive the email on the other end.. i check the queue viewer, but dont see that email sitting there on the server waiting for a retry.. i dont see it there at all.. its like it went through.. However.. if i do message tracking on it.. I notice i have a receive eventid and storedriver source, while the very next second i have a fail on eventid and source of agent, sourcecontext is GfiAsRtRoutedAgent. I'm not sure what is going on here.. However, I did notice that we had one user who had to send out a mass emailing the other day (to external sites). probably a good 25 different target addresses.. most had DNS/SMTP failures in the logs.. it was just after this (yesterday around 2pm) that the failures with the GFIASRTroutedAgent context started appearing.. I've restarted the transport service, things seem better at this second, but its likely to occur again... Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
