OK.. newbie.. and a project ahead of me.. E2K3 SP2 Win2K3 40 users 50 GB data store going back to 2000 30 GB of PST's going back to 2000 I have set-up with date filters 2000-2003, 2004-2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 etc.. as archives I have the exchange syunc function ready I think, I have Outlook Client on my test machine.. now how do I start with all this... I have turned off journalling until I am ready to go live.. It would be nice to know how to get all this going so that I don't have current emails piling up in the wrong archives, and I can possibly do 3-4 users at once, I have a dire need to reduce my store size, as with the STM it is already at 75 gb (yes I am doing a defrag this weekend) but... How do I set the system up effectively so I can just press "go" and have it start building a history of existing emails from the chosen users (including folder structure), then move into PST land (including folder structure), then worry about archiving "todays" email last. You have a few quick starts, but I would like to see a case study or process that maps out exactly how to do this.. even if it was point form, with references to the manual... Maybe it's alist of best practices, or situational procedure list .. I can see that being quite useful for a llot of users.. I am very excited about the end of this project, but I just want to do it right the first time.
