Hi, Prior to installation, i created a database 'ISA'. I also created a login for this database, and just to be sure, i gave it almost every permission i could think of. I'm pretty sure this account has more access than the DBA himself (me)! So i have a DB and a user/pass. I ran the installation, entered the information correctly, and it didn't create any tables or anything? After this failed to create anything, i started a trace running. It shows that the user logged in, and logged out. But still nothing was created. I did a more extensive profile, and two error messages showed up: User Error Message - Changed database context to 'master' There were 2 SQLTransaction (event classes) inbetween, which didn't have any TextData. User Error Message - Changed language setting to British. The above information is outputted from the SQL Server Profiler. So my problem is, it's not creating anything?? Is there a SQL script i can just use to manually create the required tables? The details i enter into the installation dialog are 100% correct. Thanks in advance, Dan

What version and edition of SQL are you using? Also, please ensure the account you are using as sysadmin privileges.

If the blank database has been created, and you're using a SysAdmin account, we'll need to review some debug logs. Can you open a support ticket for us at http://support.gfi.com?

Sure OK. Can you tell me where the debug log files are? I'd like to rule out an error at our end before using your time on this. Regards, Daniel Thompson

To Enable Debug Mode (and remove the extra files that may have been generated...) 1. Stop GFI WebMonitor service and ISA Server Firewall service. 2. Set registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GFI\WebMonitor\debug to 1 3. Delete all of the files within Program Files\GFI\WebMonitor\DebugLogs (Do not delete the folder!) 4. Restart the GFI WebMonitor service and ISA Server Firewall service. 5. Reproduce the issue. 6. Look at Program Files\GFI\WebMonitor\DebugLogs for the information.

Before I deleted the debug log files, i noticed the following line in the file DataHandler.log, wondered if this could help you assist us: 2008-09-26,13:37:17,740,1,"#000009E0","#0000000C","info ","DataHandler","GetSites() - SQLiteException: The database disk image is malformed ;database disk image is malformed"

Hi DanDanDan, the tables in the database are created the first time reporting upload occurs, however, the reporting module will only perform an upload to the sql server, if there is data for the days prior to the current one. I.e if there is only data for today, no data is uploaded to the sql server. Could you please confirm if you had more than one day of data when you tried this?

Hi clintH, It was a permissions issue, after reseting the password, and pressing send/update data it created the tables and started synchronising data, i'm sure i tried this during installation and entered the passwords correctly though. Thanks for your time.

I resolved my issue over the weekend. I uninstalled everything and ran a remote test to the database using the SA username and password. Then I dropped the GFI database I created. Then I restarted the server. After reboot I recreated my blank GFI database. Then restarted again. I then installed the GFI software. Then restarted. Then when I updated the reporting screen all the tables were created with no errors. The system is working as planned now. Thanks for everyones help.
