I have a system that has used MailEssentials for 3 years to archive email to MS Access (MDB) files. I need to move to the MailArchiver system, but have not had any success converting the MDB files to import to Mailarchiver. Has anyone had experience converting the MDBs to SQL to import? Is there any documentation on the file structure so I can do a manual conversion? GFI Tech support has said the feature is unsupported, and doesn't have any suggestions/help. Any help is appreicated, Thanks, DGordon

DGordon, Please note that this is not supported and may not work 100% correctly but let's give this a shot. 1. Make a backup of your .mdb files you are looking to import. 2. Create a new blank database in SQL 3. Right click the newly created database and choose All Tasks > Import Data 4. In Data Source choose "Microsoft Access-Treiber (*.mdb) 5. Choose "File DSN" and point this to your .mdb file you are looking to import. 6. Click Next 7. On this screen select all tables and all data and begin your import. Once you have this database created and your .mdb imported into it you can move forward with the instructions found at http://support.gfi.com/manuals/en/mar5/mar5manual.1.53.html which will walk you through importing the GFI MailEssentials database into GFI MailArchiver. Again, this is not supported and may not work 100% but it is worth a try in your situation.
