Yep , i am getting this page when the : Antivirus Scan : Show Progress To User is selected  for any content type, under the Web Traffic Scanning Node

for example , if i chose AV Scan : Show Progrss to user for the word.doc object, when i try to download a word document file, i get the progress bar and get the Save to button, once i click the Save  button i recieve a 502 Proxy Error . The ISA Server denied the specified uniform resource locator ( URL) .(12202) !!

BUT when i choose the : AV Scan Hide Progress to User, i have no issues at all and users are able to save files to disk.

i didnt have this issue with ISA Server 2004 SP2 ?

by the way, the GFI WM3 build is : 3.1.427 , 20061218

Hi,

Currently, the latest build of GFI Webmonitor does not support ISA 2004 SP3. We will let you know once a new build is available which supports this service pack.

Thank you.

P.S. Kindly refrain from adding posts which do not add value to the thread. Such posts will removed from the thread to keep the forum threads as concise as possible.

Hi Tarek,

We have an interim build which has been successfully tested on ISA 2004 SP3. This can be downloaded directly from ftp://ftp.gfi.com/temp/Netmon/del/20070503/webmonitor3.exe

Please note that the error that you encountered is not related to ISA 2004 SP3. When the user downloads a file and makes a request from the GFI WebMonitor download status page, the request is redirected by the WebMonitor plug-in to the local machine on ISA server. The error that you have received indicates that this connection is not permitted by your ISA server.

To resolve this problem, you need to configure an Access Rule to allow all connetions from the "Local Area Network" to the "LocalHost" network.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi Nicks,

My System Policy & Firewall Policies are very strick ( from and to localhost ).

So i would like to know the specific Protocols needed for GFI from Internal Network to LocalHost ? Creating an open rule from Internal Network to my Firewall is not recommended at all .

By the way, before installing SP3, i had no issues, and my rules are still the same ! the moment i installed SP3 i had this issue

Thanks,
Tarek

Hi elmajdal,

The ports that need to be open are port 80 and port 1007.

By default such connections are always enabled from LAN to localhost, but in your case you would need to enable them manually.

This functionality has been added to a recent build of GFI WebMonitor so as to completly avoid ceratin issues when downloading files. Most probably you where using a previous build which did not have this requirement.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Nicks,

i have created a temp rule to allow HTTP Only from a test Machine to ISA Server ( LocalHost ) and yes after clicking the save button i am able to save the file i was trying to download.

But i have a question :

I am able to open http://monitor.isa from any machine in the LAN WITHOUT any HTTP rule from Internal to LocalHost ?? how come ? as u said

Also, users get the Download and scanning progress bar page with the Save button, BUT once they click the save button they get the error message i pointed above.

So how can i open http://monitor.isa page and how can users get the progress bar page and there is no Rule allowing such action ?? ( No rule allowing http from internal to localhost )

why i only need an allow http rule from internal to localhost in the case i have choosen to show the AV SCAN progress bar for users, if i chose to hide it , then users had no issue !!

Can I install this build of webmonitor before installing SP3 on ISAS 2004 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 SP1 R2?

Hi Tarek,

The latest build of GFI WebMonitor is build 20061218. This is the latest one available for download from our web site. This will has been fully tested at the time of release, and is the only fully supported build.

There may be other interim builds available on our ftp site. These are updates to the latest build, however they have not been officially released. Because of this, we normally recommend that you make use of the latest released build available on our ftp site.

P.S. We will soon be releasing a new beta version of GFI Webmonitor. You may want to subscribe to the beta list, and follow the updates to the beta from http://beta.gfi.com
The beta is expected to be released in July. We will soon let you know the exact date on the forums and on the beta site.

Thank you.
