Hi

fill in the required details, mainly Server hostname, Username, Password and Domain in the "Public Folder Scanning" tab.

for exchange 2007 you should tick the SSL checkbox (i.e. port 443)

Note
-The user entered needs to have full access for the public folders.
-The folders will be created automatically

more information you can refer to http://support.gfi.com/manuals/en/me12/me12manual.1.40.html

regards

server exs
port 443 use SSL
URL https://exs/public

Hi
to test your configuration please enter the url https://exs/public into internet explorer

after accepting the certificate and entering the correct credentials you should be redirected to the OWA prompt.

The above steps would ensure that you entered the correct details

regards

I'd already tried that before.

After accepting the certificate (self-signed certificate of Exchange Server 2007) and entering the credentials (domain administrator) the next error is appearing in browser:

"Unspecified error" (Opera 9.2)
"HTTP 500" (IE 7.0)

What does it mean?

There seems to be an error in OWA

You can try creating a different virtual directory using the following powershell commandlet

New-OwaVirtualDirectory -OwaVersion:"Exchange2003or2000" -Name "Public2" -WebSite "Default Web Site" -VirtualDirectoryType:PublicFolders

note that in the above the virtual directory will be named Public2

If this does not work I suggest you contact Microsoft Support

Thanks for the help.
The problem was solved. I created a new virtual directory.

We migrated from exchange 2003 to exchange 2007. I think, this migration involved the trouble with the \public.
