I have 200 licenses, our organization uses Xp image to distribute pcs to clients, I push GFI Endpoint Security on clients using GFI Console, A pc named xyz having gfi EPS has been formatted and its name has been changed and joined to domain, do gfi EPS pick the pc from its mac address or by its hostname . When the pc comes online does its agent gets updated or i have to install GFI ES again? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 What is Firewire port used

If the machine was added by hostname, we will attempt to contact that machine by the same name once it comes back online. You will need to "ReDeploy" the agent to the machine however. If you notice any trouble with licensing, (which you will likely not encounter) please contact us at http://support.gfi.com/Support/support.aspx?lcode=en so we can assist with removing an older entry from the server. The firewire port would block any "FireWire" enabled devices such as video recorders, some imaging devices, some external hard-drives, etc.
