Hangs on checking updates???

Status: offline 		Greetings. I have installed and uninstalled, deleted program dir etc. but I cannot seem to get around this.

The update check at starting the product hangs for about a minute. There is no error but the program and patch definitions do not get updated and seem to be the same as the original download/installation.

Thanks for any help!

Status: offline 		heheh I got it... had to run wireshark to see what was happening. I don't use that machine for web browsing and internet settings are set to use proxy for the custom app that runs on that machine. Setting *.gfi.com as an exclusion resolved the problem. :)
