Hi all.

I would like of understand a bit more about EndPointSecurity permissions.  I will try explain more:

- I add read permission for USB devices to group A
- add too write permissions for USB devices to group B
- user is member of group A, and group B

How to permissions will work?
Whats precedence of permissions? (ex. in Windows environment, denied permissions have higher precedence of all other permissions)

Thanks for explain.

Thiago.

Within GFI EndPointSecurity the 'most restrictive' permission applies.

If a user is in a group that has been denied access to a device AND the user object has been granted access - the user will not have access to the device.

So, I sugeest changes on this.

For example, I created a AD group with read only access in floppy, and add Domain Users at this group.
Create other group, with write access, and add userA, that need use floppy to write.

In more restrictive access, userA will be denied to write.

I have almost 10.000 users in my domain, so remove Domain Users group and add one by one is totally crazy.
