Good morning /Afternoon
Is it important to install GFI reporting in the target machine?
or its doesn't need too ?
is it possible to scan list of the computers from Xls file?

You don't need to install the GFI Languard report pack, although it does help review the data much faster. You can save the scan results as a XML file and open this XML file in Microsoft Excel. There is no current documentation on this process, however you can use Microsoft Excel's XML features to design a report tailored to what you are looking to achieve.

Thank you for the answer
i have one more question,
i installed SQL server 2008 Express de free version,
how i am supposed to connect to the SQL databas using my free version of SQL?
i called my SQL GFI but i still can not connect to.

Typically, when entering the servername you need to use HOSTNAME\SQLEXPRESS

Hey DrewE thank you for the answer
I called the Databas GFI
so when i try to log in
i choise the Server GFI
and the username and password i typicaly choised to log in,
or i am doing something wrrong ?
Do i have to install the SQL Local or network ?as i have GFI in one machine.
and from this machine i scan and patch the network.

SQL does not need to be local to the GFI Languard machine. Each SQL install is different, we can assist you with determining the correct servername, instance name, and username / password combination to use. You may want to contact our support department at http://support.gfi.com/Support/support.aspx?lcode=en so we can assist you connecting our software to this new database.
