We are using the latest version of GFI Faxmaker (v14.3 build 20090625). We have 2 servers, 1 has a RocketPort-PCI 8 Port Serial Card (incoming only), the other uses an Eicon Diva Server 4BRI-8M 2.0 card (both in and out via ISDN 2) Since moving to this we have now inherited a couple of issues:- 1 - the FaxMaker service randomly stops (on both our servers)... restarting the service in MMC seems to be OK, but FaxMaker Monitor shows as stopped. Resolution is a reboot! Has anyone else discovered this? 2 - we used to be able to send faxes to multiple recipients (ie faxnumber1@faxmaker.com; faxnumber2@faxmaker.com etc etc). This has since stopped and will only send to the 1st recipient... Any ideas?

We have also seen your second issue (only first recipient is sent) since upgrading to build 20090625. As a possible work-around, I've been slogging through the arcane world of SMTP to see if there is a way to force it to break multiple recipients into multiple messages, but so far no luck. If I discover anything, I will post it ASAP. I'm really not looking forward to telling our users who use this feature to broadcast faxes that they have to send 200 individual e-mails to the fax server... Regards, Jeff

If you have the faxmaker client installed you can as a workaround use the faxmaker form and access you contacts that way. We had the same problem after upgrading, we use public folders to access shared contacts and do our broadcasting from there.

Thanks for the patch - it seems to have fixed the problem. As for the 1st issue - we still get FaxMaker stopping. If you restart the 2 GFI Services in Computer Management they both show as started but in FaxMaker Monitor it says MTA is running but Fax Server Service isnt... Only fix is to reboot server. Any ideas??

Thank you for the fix!! But , problem is not completly fixed. If multiple recipients share same fax number (lets call it a group) , only one fax will be send to the last recipient in the group.

Hi, Datafax - if you're specifying the same fax number in the same email multiple times, only one copy of the fax is sent to that number - this is by design. Camden - when this situation occurs, run Task Manager and check if "fmgwinet.exe", "fmservic.exe" and "fmserver.exe" are running. Regards, Max Sushchenko GFI Software Ltd - www.gfi.com

MSS This happened this morning again. Lines wouldnt answer, the 3 services show as running in Task manager. Restarted the Fax Server Services from FM NNC Console; the lines started to pickup but didnt transfer job to email recipient. Clicked the Process Messages in the MTA and this started the emials going through. As a long-shot, I restarted the Print Spooler as we got "attempt to create a file failed" in the Receive Log. We did notice that there were 900 files in the 'out' folder (all older dates). Moved these into different directory to see if this was causing issues.. Any further ideas?

This has happened again this morning. I will enable the debug after our order lines close for the day (11:30 BST) I will then await the error happening again and then open a new case and send ZIP of Support files
