Upon contacting support for this type of request, I would recommend you enable debug mode: - Set HKLM\SOFTWARE\GFI\EndpointSecurity4\Config\Debug registry key to 1
- Restart the GFI EndPointSecurity Service
- The configuration would need to be re-opened so that debug logging is saved.
Once done, wait for the issue to happen again. We would want to examine the Program Files\GFI EndPointSecurity\DebugLogs\EsecService or LogEsecService. Within this file you will see a module called 'Alerter' most likely. Hopefully, this information will assist in finding the cause of this trouble.
