Hi, Having recenlty installed GFI Mail Archiver, when trying to import exisitng emails from exchange server (emails prior to jounraling enabled), using the GFI PST-Exchange Email Export Tool (GPEEET), on adding a mailbox I get the following error: ***Error message I get when trying to add one mailbox*** You selected 1 mailboxes. 0 mailboxes were added to the mailbox list. Total mailboxes in list is now 0. 1 mailboxes could not be accessed with the credentials specified. TestU - [Test User(RL email)] - [TestU@companyexample.co.uk] - [MAIL01] ********************************** In the end I followed the instructions exactly as in: http://kbase.gfi.com/showarticle.asp?id=KBID003038 (Actually I think there is a mistake in those instructions. At point 9 in the first solution set it says repeat steps 4 and 5 when I think it should say repeat steps 7 and 8 - Either way I tried both methods with no luck) I also looked further scouring the forums and did find what I thought would be the answer here: http://forums.gfi.com/m_900764014/mpage_1/key_mailboxes%2caccesse/tm.htm#900764014 Which basically says disable forms authentication but alas trying this yielded the same result. Whatever I do I cannot get rid of this message and it's driving me nuts. We have installed GFI onto the blackberry server and even tried using the besadmin account (which should have full access to the exchange accounts) but still exactly the same message. In the network three servers in total File / applciaiton, Exchange (not much space left) and blackberry (under utilised so chosen for GFI install) Please help what I can try next. For now I’m putting everything back as it was but I hope to have solved it for my client by Monday. I REALLY appreciate any suggestions. Thanks for any input.

marballs, Try to navigate to ..\Program Files\GFI\MailArchiver\EEWIZ in a command prompt and run the eewiz.exe command with the /mailformbx switch. Let me know how this works for you.

Thanks for your response John. With the information you provided and the help of the Eurpoean support team I managed to resolve this (although a new issue has occured- see below). The key chnages I made were, * Disable HTTP forms authentication. * Make sure I used scure SSL access (So HTTPS) (I think I never tried this at the same time as Disabling HTTP before) * Apply the change in KBID003038 * Aplying the switch as suggested in previous posting. However, although I have been able to import emails now, the probem I have is the emails in a users Deleted items or Sent items do not get imported. For example, I get the dialoge box telling me how many imported and exported at the end of the run and and the Deleted ITems and Sent items have failed (happens for any user). It offers me a log file to view but the only contents of that are: Administrator :: Sent Items https://mail01/exchange/User@CompanyName.co.uk/Sent%20Items Administrator :: Deleted Items https://mail01/exchange/User@CompanyName.co.uk/Deleted%20Items Nothing else. It does not actually give any specific error message. I looked through th main eewiz log and could not see anythign particularly relating to the problem at that time. PLease help. Maybe I should post this as a new thread but I feel the problem may be related. Thanks in advance.

There appears to be no link below. At least I cannot see anything unless I'm doing something very silly.

Yes the link worked. Further research has revealed more. On some smaller users (with smaller malboxes) it has been importing OK actually. I always have skipped emails but I'm assuming these are the emals that were there after journaling was turned on (and therefore after my set cut off date). However with the user I just tried now. 9000ish emails in total and about 8000 in the inbox. I watched the importer saying Overall Progress Processing Item 0 of 9000 It remained on this for a few moments. Then it just jumped to Processing Item 8000 of 9000 and continued on as if normal. I noticed (it also at that point wrote an entry logfile (it's still not competed doing the last 1000 as I type) which again just says https://mail01/exchange/OthrUser@CompanyName.co.uk/Inbox I tried clicking the link above and it took me directly to the users mailbox via OWA once I had entered the credentials of the administrator (same used with the import tool). I've already sent the entire log file to European support and they told me to try it again, which is what I have done above. A lot more information this time, and I know it's not just deleted items or sent items now. It's just some mailboxes and it seems to be large ones. What could be happening?

Hmmm, Well what do you know. After the failure I went back to just try importing this failed mailbox on its own, and at time of writing it's importing them. Nothing changed other then I only selected the one inbox for the same user. I used the mailformbx switch as I always do when running the tool. The thing is I just want to leave it to run on all users and it is a little worring it is hit or miss.
