Hello,

today I wanted to edit the configuration of our Mailsecurity on our Exchangeserver. But the configuration site does not load properly. It always times out with the screen "GFI Front-End Framework....please wait while the page is loading".

I use the Standard Website.

Anyone got hints?

Kind Regards.

TK8782,

Run the switchboard from the MailSecurity program group. Change to "local mode" and run the configuration on the server itself. Does this help?

Can you try to open the page from another host when in IIS-mode? Please add the URL / server to the trusted sites in your Internet Explorer and ensure that the security levels are not too restrictive.

Are you using the Internet Explorer? Please ensure that the security settings are not too restriced. Probably set them to medium level and test if that works.

Do you have jet*.tmp file under c:\windows\temp?

You might want to check also if the main configuration file is not corrupted. Stop all MailSecurity services and the IIS-admin service.

Copy this file to a client system that has MS Access installed and check its integrity:
C:\Program Files\GFI\ContentSecurity\MailSecurity\Data\avapicfg.mdb

I am using both IE and firefox, the security settings is already sets to low. Yes i do have jet*.tmp files, there are lots of them. And for the last suggestion, how can I check the integrity of the avapicfg.mdb? I can open each table in MS Access. Thanks!

For the temp files, please stop all MailSecurity and the IIS-admin service. Then delete these temp files. If you have MailEssentials installed on the same system stop its services as well please.

Access has the function "Compact and Repair". You can find it under "Tools, Database Utilities". Have this run over your avapicfg.mdb file and copy it back to C:\Program Files\GFI\ContentSecurity\MailSecurity\Data\.

But ensure you create a backup copy beforehand, just in case.
