I'm sure there's a better way to lodge a complaint about the product, but I found forum and I asume the appropriate people will hear my concern. My name is Alan H. Boner. I've been A Boner for over 60 years and only recently has my life been so affected by this unfortunate surname. After you all quit laughing, please take this seriously. -------------------------------------- Email message inserted by MailSecurity: "Parts of this item were removed by GFI MailSecurity for Exchange/SMTP because they breached the security policy of the sending email server." "Words in body triggered rule "CONTENT POLICY: Block Sexual Content" (Words found: boner)" -------------------------------------- Automated blocking of email sent to me, and apparently mail sent by me has begun to have serious repercussions. My insurance was cancelled because my emails weren't being received by the insurance company, for example. Just recently I was notified that the MailSecurity system had removed content containing my name. I appreciate that this system is at least communicating with me. I now at least have the opportunity to reply to the sender. Though with my name in the reply, I'm not sure it will be actually be delivered. The next level of support I would like to see, as the injured party, is the ability to cause MailSecurity to allow my mail to be processed as any other legitimate sender. Just give me a way to confirm my mail as legitimate. -- Alan

Alan, You can easily take care of this by accessing the GFI MailSecurity Configuration and open Content Filtering. From here you will see a policy that is enabled called, "Block Sexual Content". Open this policy and check the body tab and you will see a list of words that we will block. Simply remove the word 'boner' from this list. Do the same step for the subject tab and apply your changes to save them. This will prevent any emails being blocked by GFI MailSecurity based on the word boner. Let us know how this goes.

May I suggest you identify yourself, in e-mail you send, as "My name is Alan Booner (please note I have purposefully added an extra o in my name to by-pass possible e-mail filtering) and my customer ID, user account, etc, is...... It is truly said how such a essential tools, like e-mail, is exploited and abused. Good luck to you in all your endeavors.

Hi Alan, In the meantime, we are going to remove 'boner' from our default content filtering rules. In the meantime you would need to remove it from any Content Filtering rules manually. By default, this is found in the 'CONTENT POLICY: Block Sexual Content' Content Filter rule. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
