I need help resolving an issue I am having with the downloading of Bit Defender & Norman AV updates. When I go to the update tab and force the update I receive a message saying the last update failed but I get an email notification stating that updates are available for download? I check the virus definition date and it is still the same from the last time I did the updates manually. I am NOT using a proxy server and my outbound traffic to the GFI domain is open. I am able to manually download the updates through IE from my mail server but I need to have this process automated. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Update 12/19/2008:
I am now getting notification emails that state the following:
The BitDefender Anti-Virus update files were successfully downloaded, but a failure occurred while updating the local engine files.
