Hi,

we have an error with GFI Mailessentials 12. While starting the Service GFI MailEssentials Managed Attendant. we are getting an Error msg :

Cannot load configuration: Could not find a part of the path 'D:\Programme\GFI\MailEssentials\data\ASettings.xml'.

What is this service about ? The SpamFilter seems to be working properly, but the error msg is annoying.

The correct path to the asettings.xml is not D:\, it is C:\. How can i correct this ?

There are several values in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\GFI\ME12 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\GFI\ME12\Config that could be pointing to the wrong place.

These values point to the correct path. I will try to contact the gfi support, we have a maintenance subscription.

thanks for your reply

If you have a D: partition, you could work-around this by creating D:\Programme\GFI\MailEssentials\ and then use Junction from Microsoft to create a link from D:\Programme\GFI\MailEssentials\data to C:\Programme\GFI\MailEssentials\data (assuming it's in this location).
junction D:\Programme\GFI\MailEssentials\data C:\Programme\GFI\MailEssentials\data

It's a work-around, not a fix!
