When we do a first search (timed from when search button is pressed), the search time is in the 15 to 20 second zone. Subsequent searches are in the 1 to 5 seconds (for all staff).

Is there a timeout somewhere that frees up resources that need to be claimed back (resulting in the 15 / 20 second intial search), or is this just a factor of disk / memory caching on the server?
