Is there a way to filter out the false positives I get from GFI EPS? I have some CD-Writers set to Read only for specific users. Also, I have read only security on the floppy drives. When the PC's start up they generated access denied emails for both of these hardware devices. Sometimes when someone puts in a CD to read from, the access denied message is emailed, even though they have access to read it and can. Any ideas?

I believe GFi has released a "control" patch for this email alert issue. Drew or any GFiser, pls confirm.

There is an ongoing patch for the GFI EndPointSecurity agent. It is currently only available by (1) ensuring you are on the latest build and (2) opening a support ticket with us. Once installed, you would re-deploy the agent to the workstation and this should resolve a multitude of issues with reporting and false positives. The patch should be included in the next build of GFI EndPointSecurity, but otherwise is not currently available without first contacting support.
