Hello there at GFI
Just a few things that crossed my mind ...
1. Login with integrated authentication instead of having to enter userid/password. Don't know if the "login with a different account" won't be broken by this feature.
2. On the "list all accounts" page: Either the "user name" or "account" should be a link; clicking on it changes to that account's list of mail (same as, from the "welcome" screen, choosing an account from the drop down box)
3. On the mail list, only subject and date are shown at the moment. How about showing the sender, as well? And, while you're at it, please make those columns sortable by clicking on them. And for the date column, it would be nice to see date AND time on the main page, not only in the details when you click on a mail item.
4. A user configurable filter to hide certain emails based on sender/subject/body content to filter out the odd spam that still makes it into the archive would also be nice. The filter should be on a per user basis and maybe even come up by default when the user logs on to his mail list.
5. There are still some issues with mails (HTML) that have embedded objects (pictures). The mail isn't shown in the original format. I can forward you an example to a mailbox that gets archived using MailArchiver and you'll see what I mean.
Don't get me wrong, MailArchiver is already really good as it is, but it never hurts to improve things even further

Some comments to your request:
1) MailArchiver UI does use integrated authentication. It is up to browser to ask for credentials or use current. Use machine name instead of ip ('localhost' instead of 127.0.0.1) and IE will not ask for credentials. However 'localhost' will cause problems with proxy servers (e.g. ISA) unless you have 'localhost' in IE proxy exceptions list
3) What is 'mail list'? Do you mean conversations list? What 'sender' column should display? First sender in the conversation? MailArchiver UI follows Outlook-style conversation grouping.

Hello Rodion
Thanks for the answers.
1) I do use the machine name - not localhost or 127.0.0.1, since I don't start the interface from the server. I guess I'll have to look into how the authentication settings are configured on my IIS.
3) Yes, the conversation list. Point taken, hadn't thought of that. On the other hand, about 90% of the mails will be a single conversation, e.g. a mail and one reply. So yes, the first sender would be a possibility. In conversations with more than two items and/or more than two recipients, you could either show the first (original) sender of the conversation, or instead put "<multiple>" or something like that.
2), 4) and 5) are ok then? In that case I'll be looking forward to the next version ... ![[Wink]](/image/smiles/wink.gif) [ December 23, 2004, 10:04 AM: Message edited by: Fermin ]
